Korsteel Mullen Mouth Pelham Bit features 5 1/2 inch cheeks, a mullen mouthpiece does not break in the center and is slightly curved for the tongue, and is considered to be slightly milder than a snaffle. A Pelham bit can be used in place of a Weymouth bit when a double bridle with two bits is not called for. You can use this bit with a regular bridle, but two reins. The lower rein is used for head setting and leverage in addition to the top rein.
